WELCOME TO KRISLOV LAW

Class Action lawyers asserting consumer, investor and taxpayer rights, whistleblower and public interest cases.

Sadly, Clint Krislov passed away in February 2024. After his death current cases continued while plans for succession were made with all legal options pursued. In September 2025, Kenneth T. Goldstein, Clint's Associate for over 20 years, acquired the firm and continued the practice in his own name, The Law Office of Kenneth T. Goldstein, PLLC. New contact information is:

While our previous email addresses remain operative, please contact us using our new email addresses. The phone number has stayed the same.

We are always interested in hearing from you with injustices to be pursued. Call (312) 606-0500 or email us with new cases you think we should look into or if any of the cases we're currently working on involve you. There is no charge for reviewing cases.

Matters We're Looking Into

"Drip Pricing" Cases

We are currently investigating "drip pricing" cases, where an advertised price does not include fees later added on that increase the cost. The practice occurs frequently in a variety of online transactions, apartment rentals, and delivery app transactions. Possible claims may arise in a variety of other consumer settings. We would be happy to discuss your experiences with such added fees.

Uncashed City of Chicago Checks

Krislov Law, through a FOIA request to the City of Chicago, uncovered 22,000 uncashed checks, totaling $11 million dating back 22 years. On August 19, 2019, Krislov Law filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of Cook County against the City of Chicago for failing to comply with the Illinois Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act and the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, and attached the list of uncashed checks.  Review the complaint and the list to see if you are owed money:

Gift Cards with Bankrupt Stores

Don't throw out your gift cards with bankrupt stores. Your gift cards may have a priority claim in the bankruptcy.  If you have a gift card from any retailer that may go into bankruptcy, we would welcome your call, 312-606-0500.

INFORMATION REGARDING

RETIREE HEALTHCARE LITIGATION

"Korshak" Retiree Healthcare Litigation:

Retiree Healthcare (the Korshak/Underwood litigation for all City of Chicago annuitants):  In litigation dating back to 1987 the City, on May 15, 2013, declared its intention to phase out and end retiree healthcare entirely by the end of 2016.

With Mr. Krislov's passing, transition of the firm, and at each procedural stage, we sent notice to our email list providing frequent updates on case developments.

In February 2025, the Appellate Court issued an Order affirming Summary Judgment Dismissal without Oral Argument in the Underwood/Retiree Healthcare case.

We sought reconsideration, then filed a Petition for Leave to Appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court that was denied in September 2025.

This is the end of our representation and end of our engagement in this case.
